Frank Dux is a Canadian martial artist and fight choreographer, with a long history in martial arts and who served as the inspiration for the film bloodsportin which the story of his life and his experience in said arts was narrated —with some modifications.

Frank William Dux began his training in Ryu Ninjutsu at a very young age under the tutelage of Senzo Tanaka, who was his teacher for many years.

Subsequently, Dux maintained his interest in the area, participated in an underground competition known as Kumite, and founded his own martial arts school.

In addition to having served as an inspiration for bloodsportDux had various participations in the cinema, specifically as a fight choreographer in lionheart (1990) and in Only the strong (1993).

Dux has enjoyed recognition in the sports world, especially in the field of martial arts.

He was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the Frank Dux Fellowship Award was created in his honor.
